Our client is a popular online travel platform that helps users to plan their trips by providing booking, comparisons, and reviews services. They are a nationwide brand that is well-known in the travel industry.
The client was looking to modernize their tech stack and moving their analytical platform from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud was a priority. In their cloud-first approach, moving to Tableau Cloud allowed better connectivity and performance to their existing data infrastructure which included Salesforce, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, and Google BigQuery.
Keyrus met with the relevant stakeholders at the start of the engagement to determine the best strategy on how to migrate, what to migrate, and the timing of the migration. After discussing key considerations and identifying which workbooks/data sources were to be moved, Keyrus laid out a roadmap to ensure the client was aware of when the content would be migrated and who would be responsible for validating content for UAT. In a collaborated method, leveraging best change management best practices, Keyrus worked with the client to establish a cutover date and transition plan.
